Position Description
Altomaxx is looking to expand its field operations team. We are accepting applications for experienced commercial drone pilots who are interested in joining our Calgary, AB flight crews as part of our Integrated Solutions team. Applicants should be self-motivated, adept at problem-solving, thrive in diverse environments and passionate about drone technology. Travel is an essential part of the position, both domestically and internationally, as Altomaxx has a number of on-going international projects, and a willingness to travel is a must.
Experience with UgCS software and SPH payloads is a definite value add to your application.
Primary Position Responsibilities
- Conduct drone operations in the field
- Perform the duties of a pilot, crew member, visual observer or payload operator
- Operate a variety of drone models and sensor payloads, including SPH integrated payloads
- Plan and execute flight missions using UgCS software
- Acquire field data using established techniques and methods
- Maintain, monitor and document preventative maintenance on field equipment and other assets
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Transport Canada RPAS Pilot Advanced Operations (Flight Review Rating a plus)
- Experience in geomatics, surveying, visual inspections
- Familiarity with drone flight planning software (DJI Pilot, Pix4D, UgCS, etc)
- Post processing experience
Conditions of Employment
- Willing and able to pass routine drug screening test on regular basis
- Willing to travel domestic and internationally. Must have a valid passport and working visa if required
- Have a valid drivers licence
- Willingness to travel
Preferred Experience
- UgCS software and SPH payload experience, and Advanced Operations Certificate
