Altomaxx Receives Energy NL Business Growth Award

Summary

Altomaxx has received the Business Growth Award at Energy NL’s 2026 Industry Achievement Awards. The award recognizes the company’s international expansion and its continued investment in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Where it started

Altomaxx began with a single drone in 2018. Since then, the company has focused on one problem: getting reliable condition data from critical assets that are dangerous or costly to reach.

Offshore growth

Much of that growth has come through offshore work. On vessels and floating platforms, Altomaxx Offshore pilots use drones to inspect confined spaces, reducing the need for people to enter them.

Altomaxx was built from within Newfoundland and Labrador and has expanded globally.

Rooted in the province

With offices across Canada and abroad, Newfoundland and Labrador remains home. Altomaxx maintains a predominantly local workforce while bringing international talent and opportunity to Newfoundland and Labrador. Its work supports the province’s energy sector, from offshore inspection to emissions management.

“We built this company from within Newfoundland and Labrador, and today our team works with operators around the world. We’re proud of that growth, and proud that this province is still home.”

Steve Priestley, Chief Operating Officer, Altomaxx
